A society with gaps, a society with ambiguity, a society with solids and voids, an order with chaos, a black and white order. This is the critique to the modern society and the life conceptions by Esther Stocker. Her art works represented this situation with big rooms painted with geometrical forms. Rooms are full of little and precise objects but, sometimes, they are incomplete. These two elements, colors (black and white) and objects, symbolize for her the solids and voids of the society, the illusory order of modern systems. Rooms are very suggestive as Untitled, 2009, shows in the South London Gallery, London.
The artist was born in Silandro (Italy), in 1974 and she studied at Brera and Bildenden Kunste Accademy and, in 1999, she studied at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. She is a very famous installation artist.
